Bavaria is one of the most visited travel destinations in Germany. Not only the Alps but also the green hills and the rich in variety landscape attracts millions of visitors every year. The Bavarian people live a mixture of traditional and modern lifestyle. They also consider themselves more as "Bavarians" than "Germans" and see the Free State of Bavaria more as a a separate national identity than a part of Germany. The German constitutional law does not distinct between "States" and "Free States" so the difference the other Germany states is just terminological.
