St. Bartholomä is a Catholic pilgrimage church in the Berchtesgadener Land district of Bavaria. It's name originates from Saint Bartholomew the Apostle (Bartholomäus in German) who is considered the patron of alpine dairymen and farmers. St. Bartholomä is located at the western shore of the Königssee lake. It can be reached after a long hike across the surrounding mountains or by ship. Photo by Björn Kindler taken in Bavaria, Germany
